Dr. Jiří HynekLadies and Gentlemen,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Future Forces Forum 2026. This event brings together representatives of government, armed forces, industry, and the wider expert community. At a time of profound change in the global security environment, their shared commitment to strengthening our collective security is more valuable than ever.
The events of the past year have further demonstrated that a strong defence and security industry is an essential pillar of national resilience. The ability to develop, manufacture, maintain and deliver critical capabilities cannot be taken for granted. Reliable supply chains, sufficient production capacity and continuous technological innovation are indispensable to ensuring that armed and security forces can respond effectively to both current threats and future challenges. Defence preparedness is therefore not solely a military responsibility; it is a long-term national undertaking in which industry plays a crucial role.
The Future Forces Forum makes an important contribution to this effort. By connecting decision-makers, end users and industry representatives, it creates an environment in which operational requirements can be translated into practical solutions. The Forum enables participants to establish the trust necessary for lasting partnerships. It is not merely a showcase of advanced technologies, but a platform for meaningful dialogue and concrete action across sectors and national borders.
The Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic is proud to support this shared objective. AOBP serves as a bridge between Czech defence and security industry, public institutions and international partners. I am confident that the Future Forces Forum 2026 will generate valuable new partnerships that contribute to a
safer future.
I wish all participants a successful Forum, productive meetings and an inspiring stay in Prague.
Dr. Jiří HYNEK
President of AOBP
