Czech Armed Forces will invest billions, present yourself to decision makers within Future Forces Forum

Dozens of armored vehicles, light off-road vehicles for special forces units, transport helicopters, but also new fatigues and combat boots will be acquired by the Czech MoD in the upcoming years. The tenders should start in 2017.
Future Forces Forum representatives attended the 2nd National Armament Conference organized by the Czech MoD and the Czech Armed Forces, where the top representatives including the Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff introduced a plan for the Army modernization.
The Ministry of Defence presented its goal to enhance soldiers’ interoperability and to enable joint action of Czech troops in multinational groups. It also means more investment in soldier equipment and weapons.
Lt.Gen. Josef Bečvář, Chief of the General Staff, pointed out that the Concept of Development of the Czech Army, a material that outlines the vision of the army by 2025 should be soon approved by the Government. Lt.Gen. Bečvář also stressed that the needs of the army must be relevant to the dynamic changes in today's turbulent world.
For example, army wants to invest in:
- Light Wheeled Vehicles in amount 28 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Tank Truck in amount 240 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Workshop and recovery vehicles in amount 320 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Collimator sight for assault rifle in amount 45 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Machine guns in amount 61 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Light armored vehicle Staff in amount 101 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Light armored vehicle commander workplace R8p in amount 792 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Portable anti-tank missiles in amount 254 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Airport radar in amount 301 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Mini unmanned reconnaissance vehicle in amount 27 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Mobile 3D radar (MADRE) in amount 1 250 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Replacement of technologies of alternative sources - motor generators + UPS in amount 120 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Assault rifle caliber 5,56x45 mm in amount 279 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Central Military Hospital in Prague - the modernization of medical equipment in amount 111 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Multipurpose armored reconnaissance vehicle in amount 100 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Construction of data centers in amount 180 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
- Investments in defense of the airspace of the Czech Republic in amount 2 898 billions CZK in year 2015-2017
